Garrison Lady Bulldog Ballpark on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 –
The Shelbyville Lady Dragons varsity softball team took a convincing 24-0 run road win at Garrison High School’s Lady Bulldogs Ballpark on Tuesday. The game was shortened to three innings due to the 15-run mercy rule. Shelbyville now stands at 9-7 for the season. Garrison falls to 3-12.
The Lady Dragons rallied in the top of the first inning to gain a 16-0 lead on an error, 3 singles, a double, 10 walks, a hit batter, and an inside-the-park-homerun by Nicole Harvey.
Defensively senior pitcher Taylor Jones only allowed the Lady Bulldogs a single hit and one walk while striking out six of the ten batters she faced on the day. Offensively SHS added on four more runs to their tally sheet in both the second and third innings to earn the 24-0 run win.
Shelbyville will next host the Chireno Lady Owls at Dragons Ballpark on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. Chireno lost to the Broaddus Lady Bulldogs last Friday, by a 11-5 run score.
