Tenaha High School, Thursday, June 13, 2019 –
Tenaha High School’s Special Events Center was the site which launched summer league play for several local varsity and junior varsity teams. Representatives from Tenaha, Joaquin, Timpson, Carthage, Mount Enterprise, Gary, Nacogdoches and Beckville sharpened their skills while competing in offseason basketball games.
Early action saw local schools Joaquin and Gary face off with Gary winning by a lopsided 56-17 margin. Tenaha and Carthage next faced off in a closer game where Tenaha trailed 27-29 at halftime but they bounced back for a 59-50 win by game’s end.
