November 14, 2022 - Timpson Area Genealogy and Heritage Society is excited to announce that Neil Grant will present a program on the history of the Timpson Band on Wednesday, November 16, at 2 PM, in the annex of the Timpson Public Library. Mr. Neil, a native and resident of Arcadia, is an alumnus of Timpson School. His tenure with bands began at an early age, becoming an All State bandmember at the age of 12. A member of the Texas Bandmaster's Hall of Fame, Neil was an award winning band director of Troup, Nacogdoches, White Oak, and Longview. He is the owner of Tatum Music Company in Longview.
The public is encouraged to attend, especially former band members. Bring memories, pictures, and memorabilia of your band days.
