November 12, 2018 - Ms. Patty Bays has been teaching for 26 years and counting, before moving to Shelbyville she worked at a bank and taught at Tenaha. Ms. Bays moved to Shelbyville because of the strong community and good quality district. Some of her hobbies are reading and shopping. Her favorite sport is basketball. When asked who her biggest role model was, she said her mother. Her favorite thing about Shelbyville is the students and staff.
One thing she wishes her students take from her is that they all follow their dreams and that they always be their best. When asked how does it feel being teacher of the week she stated, “Its an honor to be chosen by such a great group of kids.
