Tenaha 2nd Graders Take a Field Trip to Sci-Port

May 8, 2015 - On Thursday, April 30th the 2nd grade classes from Tenaha traveled to Shreveport and spent the day at Sci-Port. Sci-Port is a hands-on Science museum.

Students participated in two classes. In the class Animal Defenses, students discovered how animal adaptations help them survive. In the class Ooey Gooey Gloop, students used inquiry skills to create a polymer that they brought home.

Students also explored the many hands-on exhibits, ate lunch, and visited the gift shop. We had a great time and learned a lot! 2nd Grade teachers are Mrs. Nina Vick and Mrs. Stacie Barr.

We would like to say thank you to our bus driver and chaperones Mr. David Sims, Mrs. Reanna Lovett, and Mrs. Cindy Hughes.
