August 20, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the governing body of the above-named City will be held on the 25th day of August 2025 at 5:30pm at the Tenaha Municipal Building, 238 North George Bowers Drive, Tenaha, Texas, for the Regular Meeting at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:
1. Call to Order and establish a quorum
2. Invocation
3. Pledge
4. Citizens Input: This time it is provided for members of the public to address the City Council on items that appear within the agenda, or a matter not listed on the agenda. Each speaker is limited to 3 minutes. A Citizens Input Form must be filled out and filed with the City Secretary prior to the meeting.
(Be advised that the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the City Council from taking formal action, discussion, deliberation, or comment on citizen input for a matter not listed on the agenda. The law authorizes the following: make a statement of factual information, recite existing policy, advise that a subject be placed on the agenda for a subsequent meeting. Citizens should not engage in shouting, unruly behavior, defamation, personal attacks, profanity, or threats of any kind. Comments shall be addressed to the Mayor and Council. Citizens who violate these rules will be asked to cease the violation and if the violation continues, they will be asked to leave the meeting.)

6. Presentations and Recognitions: CenterPoint Energy Community Safety Grant awarded to the City of Tenaha $2,400.00.
7. Discussion and possible action on revising the policy and procedures to have Council Packet Reports and Agenda item request turned into the mayor (2) two weeks prior to Council Meeting.
8. Discussion and possible action on approving the minutes for the July 2025 City Council Meeting(s).
9. Discussion and possible action on approving the financials for July 2025.
10. Discussion on a contract with Paxton Water Supply in regards to sale of water.
11. Discussion and possible action on approving the engagement letter from Goff & Herrington, P.C.
12. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda will be made at this time. A total does not exceed 10 minutes will be devoted to these reports.
13. Adjourn
The Council reserves the right to retire into executive sessions considering any of the items listed on the agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.
