Tenaha City Council Regular Meeting Agenda, Mar, 27

March 24, 2023 - Notice is hereby given that a regular called meeting of the governing body of the above-named City will be held on Monday the 27th day of March 2023 at 5:30 pm at Tenaha City Hall, 238 North George Bowers Drive, Tenaha, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:

1. Call to Order
2. Roll Call
3. Invocation 
4. Pledge: United States Pledge
5. Citizens Input: This time is provided for members of the public to address the City Council on items that appear within the agenda, or a matter not listed on the agenda.  Each speaker is limited to 3 minutes. A Citizens Input Form must be filled out and filed in with the City Secretary prior to the meeting.

Easter Egg Hunt at Sugar Hill Park Friday April 7, 2023, at 2:00 pm, Municipal Budget Cycle Seminar College Station April 13-14, Early Voting begins Monday April 24, 2023, until Tuesday May 2, 2023. Election Day Saturday May 6, 2023.
7. Executive session Section 551.071 Texas Government Code-Consultation with Attorney-Consultation with City Attorney Regarding Morrow v. Michael Baker; Cause No. 2:08 CV288; Eastern District of Texas-Marshall Division.  Personnel Matters Government Code Section 551.074 with possible action related thereto upon reconvening in open session.
Reconvene into open session and take any action necessary because of the Executive Session. 
8. Discussion and possible action on approving the Racial Profiling Report for 2022.
9. Discussion and possible action on approving the minutes for the February 2023 City Council meeting(s). 
10. Discussion and possible action on approving the financials for February 2023.
11. Discussion and possible action renewing the City of Tenaha’s membership with the Texas Municipal League (TML). 06/01/2023 - 05/31/2024
12. Discussion and possible action appointing Election Judge for the General Elections to be held on Saturday May 6, 2023. 
13. Discussion and possible action approving the purchase of Gravely 660 Model 992501 for $13,900.00 with trade in estimate of current Gravely at $2,000 - $3,000 range. 
14. Discussion and possible adoption of the Shelby County FEMA approved Hazard Mitigation Plan. The approved plan makes us eligible to apply for current and future mitigation grants.
15. Discussion and possible action approving obtaining easement on Boykin Lane to install sewer main.  
16. Discussion and possible action approving bids for the rebuild of clarifier “worm” drive. 
17. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda will be made at this time. A total, not to exceed 10 minutes will be devoted to these reports. 
18. Adjourn.

The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.
