November 5, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a Special Called Meeting of the governing body of the above-named City will be held on the 13th day of November 2025 at 5:30pm at the Tenaha Municipal Building, 238 North George Bowers Drive, Tenaha, Texas, for the Regular Meeting at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:
1. Call to Order and establish a quorum
2. Invocation
3. Pledge
4. Citizens Input: This time it is provided for members of the public to address the City Council on items that appear within the agenda, or a matter not listed on the agenda. Each speaker is limited to 3 minutes. A Citizens Input Form must be filled out and filed with the City Secretary prior to the meeting.
a. (Be advised that the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the City Council from taking formal action, discussion, deliberation, or comment on citizen input for a matter not listed on the agenda. The law authorizes the following: make a statement of factual information, recite existing policy, advise that a subject be placed on the agenda for a subsequent meeting. Citizens should not engage in shouting, unruly behavior, defamation, personal attacks, profanity, or threats of any kind. Comments shall be addressed to the Mayor and Council. Citizens who violate these rules will be asked to cease the violation and if the violation continues, they will be asked to leave the meeting.)
5. Discussion and possible action on Resolution 2025-11-13 by the City of Tenaha denying Southwestern Electric Power Company’s Proposed increase in Rates
6. Council Items: Reports by the members of the City Council on matters not on the agenda will be made at this time. A total does not exceed 10 minutes will be devoted to these reports.
