Tenaha Cross Country Teams Compete at Regional Meet

October 24, 2017 - The Tenaha cross country teams qualified for the regional meet at district on October 11. The boys’ team won the district championship, and the girls’ team placed 2nd. The UIL Regional Championship was held on October 23rd at Kate Ross Memorial Park in Huntsville. The Lady Tigers finished the regional meet 16th of 23 teams. 

Araceli Vazquez finished very close to advancing in 12th place, but only the top ten advances to state. The boys’ team placed 11th out of 21 teams, and freshman, Irvin Barona, captured the 10th place as individual state qualifier, and will represent Tenaha at the state meet. 

The UIL State Championship will take place   November 4th at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.
