Tenaha SEC on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 –
Tenahas’ Twelfth Holiday Hoops Basketball Tournament has moved to Day 2 competition. Among local teams still participating in the 3-day event was the Tenaha boys varsity team who played the Jefferson Bulldogs. The Tigers held a 48-44 advantage at the end of the third quarter and they held on for a 57-53 win.
The Timpson boys led the Beckville Bearcats 35-20 at halftime. The Bears led 49-35 going into the third frame. THS eventually took a 65-43 win.
The Timpson girls team was in a hard-fought defensive battle in the first half of their game with the Chireno Lady Owls. The Lady Bears and the Lady Owls were tied 13-13 at the midway intermission. Timpson outscored Chireno 28-18 during the second half and they took a 41-31 win.
