January 12, 2015 - Roarin' Band trombone player, Jacob Samford, placed second at All-Area tryouts Saturday, and advanced to the ATSSB Texas All-State Band.
He also is the first band student from Tenaha to make the All-state band. This is an extremely difficult contest that requires students to play collegiate level music in competition against other students from 3A, 2A, and 1A schools (over 100 trombone players competed in this area, and two made it to state, including Jacob)!
