September 11, 2015 - The Tenaha Tiger Hall of Honor has been a Tiger Tradition for nearly a decade. The Hall of Honor was established to recognize Tenaha High School Alumni that have displayed outstanding life accomplishments and uphold a standard that sets them apart from all others.
The Tiger Nation is proud to name this year’s Hall of Honor Inductee, Steven Lane Dupre’. Mr. Dupre’ graduated from Tenaha High School with honors in 1988. While attending Tenaha Schools, Steven Dupre’ earned a number of honors such as:
Salutatorian for 8th Grade
Salutatorian for High School
4-H Leader in local and state organization
4-H “I Dare You” award winner
4-H Gold Star winner
Freshman First Team All-District Linebacker
Sophomore First Team All-District Linebacker and Running Back
Junior First Team All-District Linebacker and Running Back
Senior MVP District football
Senior First Team All-District Linebacker
State Golf Tournament Qualifier as a Sophomore and Senior
Steven Dupre’ also completed the Shreveport Marathon in 1985, at the age of 15, as one of the youngest runners to achieve this feat.
Following high school graduation Steven attended Midwestern State University where he played football his Freshman year. He also attended Stephen F. Austin State University where he participated in Rugby his sophomore, Junior and Senior year.
Steven graduated from SFA with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and he also holds a degree in Radiologic Technology from Northeast Louisiana University. Mr. Dupre’ is currently employed by Medtronic, a world premier medical technology and service company, where he earned the 2013 Salesman of the Year.
Steven and his wife Kemberly have two children Laura and Laney Dupre’. The Dupre’ family currently resides in San Antonio, Texas.
The Hall of Honor Induction ceremony will be held September 18 at 6pm in the Tenaha High School Cafetorium. Mr. Dupre’ and his family will also be recognized during pregame ceremonies in The Pit at 7:00pm. Following the pregame Hall of Honor recognition ceremony the Tenaha Tigers will take on the White Oak Roughnecks. Kick off will be at 7:30pm.
