October 5, 2023 - Texas Game Wardens will be hosting a Hunter’s Education class on Saturday October 14, 2023 at the Patroon Baptist Church 310 FM 2261, Shelbyville, TX 75973 from 9am to 4pm. Lunch and materials provided.

Parents are welcome to stay during the class or drop off kids for the class. Minimum age to register is 9 years old. The class is primarily geared towards ages 9-16 as those are the ages where the classroom course is required. 17 and older are welcome to register but they do not need our classroom course as they are eligible to take the online only course. 17 years old or older do not need to register for our classroom course if they are going to take the online only course. Only register for our classroom course if they plan on attending in person. Here is a link for the online only course.

Anyone born after born on or after 9/2/1972 is required to have the course. Once they have taken the course it is valid for their lifetime and every state recognizes hunters education certificates from other states.
