Timpson won the coin toss but deferred possession. The Bears defense held Tenaha to a single first down on their initial drive. The Tigers punted the football back to Timpson with 8:30 left in the first quarter.  Bears quarterback Jon Grogan completed two passes which were good for first downs. The Bear’s opening drive stalled after just seven plays, after Tiger defender Trenton Hass sacked Grogan, and the Bears lost 11 yards on a bad snap. This brought up a fourth-down-and-twenty four-yards-to-go situation which led to the punt.

Tenaha made good on their second possession which started with a 31-yard Jordan Marshall run. Erik Smith caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Hayden Jenkins just three plays later. Christian Castillo added an extra point kick which gave Tenaha a 7-0 lead with 4:46 left in the first quarter.

Timpson’s next possession saw them lose three yards and punt the ball back to Tenaha four plays later with 3:30 left in the opening frame. One minute later Jay Lloyd scored on a 6-yard touchdown run which capped a 4-play drive. Castillo added another extra point kick to give Tenaha a 14-0 advantage with 2:34 left in the opening stanza.

Jordan Osby caught a 21-yard Bear’s touchdown with 10:48 left in the second quarter to cut Tenaha’s lead to 14-6, after a failed extra point attempt.

Smith added his second touchdown reception, an 18-yarder, which gave Tenaha a 20-6 lead with 4:25 left in the first half. Marshall added another Tiger’s touchdown reception from 5-yards away with just 43 seconds left before the midway intermission. Castillo added an extra point conversion and Tenaha led the Bears 27-6 at the midway break.

Braden Courtney pulled Timpson to within 27-12 with a 41-yard touchdown run with 8:42 left in the third period. The extra point attempt was blocked.

Jaqualin Franks scored on a 25-yard reception with 5:20 left in the third frame to extend Tenaha’s lead to 33-12.

Jay Lloyd added a 15-yard score late in the third quarter which put the Tigers up 40-12. Teammate Tray Tutt added a 35-yard touchdown run with 8:37 left in the contest. Castillo added the extra point conversion kick to help give the Tigers the final 47-12 margin of victory.

Timpson held an advantage rushing by a 173-157 margin. Tenaha led in passing yardage completing 9 of 21 attempts for 171 yards. Timpson completed five passes on 13 attempts for 67 yards.
