Timpson Area Genealogy and Heritage Society to Host Debra Pantalion

June 14, 2022 - Debra Pantalion, an unapologetically enthusiastic genealogist, will address Timpson Area Genealogy and Heritage Society, Wednesday, June 15 at 2 PM in the Timpson Public Library annex.

Although born in Louisiana, Ms. Pantalion has deep ties to the Nacogdoches area. Her father, a Chevron employee, moved his family frequently with the result that Debra was educated in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. She graduated high school in Laurel MS and then graduated in 1970 from Jones County Junior College. After living several years in Florida and eighteen "miserable months" in Houston, Debra married and moved to Austin, where she remains. Retirement has afforded her time to do the research necessary to qualify her for membership in Daughters of the Republic of Texas and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Please join us as Debra explains the genealogical requirements for the DAR and DRT, as well as other organizations for which you may qualify for membership. She will also share some of her family's rich heritage. Guests are welcome. Please call 936 615 7262 with any questions.
