Timpson ISD Bear Update: Pep Rally, Kindergarten News, Teachers Receive Honor

Timpson Breakfast/Lunch Program
Timpson ISD continues this year to offer free breakfast and lunches to all students under the Community Eligibility Program. In addition to the free meals, students may purchase additional portions of the entrée, vegetable, fruits or snacks. Prices for additional portions range from $2.00 for entrees’ to 50¢ for snacks. Parents who wish may put money into their children’s meal account so that they may purchase additional servings. Timpson ISD Director of Food Services Ginger Lee said that the cafeteria is dedicated to providing healthy, tasty meals that students will enjoy and will be healthy. Parents are welcome to visit the cafeteria and eat with their children. Adult meals are $3.50. If you visit a campus to eat with your child, please check in with the building secretary before going to the cafeteria. This helps ensure the safety of our students.

THS Pep Rally
Timpson High School will have a pep rally Friday, September 4 at 2:30 p.m. outside in front of the high school. The varsity Bears will play Harleton Friday evening at home @ 7:30 p.m. Go Bears!!

TES Kindergarten To Lead Pledge At Poultry Festival
Timpson Elementary School's kindergarten class will lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the East Texas Poultry Festival opening ceremony. The opening ceremony will be in the big tent on the Center square Thursday, October 1st at 10:00 a.m.

THS Teachers Present At State Conference
Timpson High School science teachers Cindy Sessions and Teresa Jourden have been invited to present at CAST a statewide conference for science teachers. Ms. Sessions and Mrs. Jourden will make their presentation twice during the conference because of the expected high attendance at their presentations. Their presentation is entitled Interactive Biology EOC Journals. Congratulations to these two outstanding Timpson teachers on the honor of being asked to present at such a well-respected conference.
