    Thursday, November 12 – FFA Major Show entry – TISD Ag Building @ 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

    Friday, Novomber 13 – 7th/8th Grade Lady Bear Basketball vs. Mt. Enterprise – There @ 4:00 p.m. Varsity Girls basketball afterwards
    Friday, Novomber 13 – End of second six weeks
    Friday, Novomber 13 – Elementary benchmark testing

Play-off Game
In round one of the State football play-offs Timpson Bears will play Iola at Palestine High School at 7:00 p.m. Thursday November 12. Timpson will be the home team. Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. Go Bears!

TMS Boys Basketball
The Timpson Middle School basketball game is cancelled this week due to a scheduling conflict with the football play-off game.

TISD Early Release
Timpson ISD will have an early release Thursday, November 12. Buses will run at 2:00 p.m. Parent pick-up will begin at 1:30 p.m.

TES Red Ribbon Winners
Last week Timpson Elementary celebrated the National Red Ribbon week to raise awareness about the dangers of taking drugs. As part of the celebration students participated in a coloring contest for grades Pre-K – 2nd and an essay contest for grades 3 – 5. The winners of the contests are as follows:

Coloring Contest
1st place - Kayson Pledger
2nd place - Lizeth Resendiz
3rd place - Keggin Walker

Essay Contest
1st place - Jennifer Diaz
2nd place - Tyler Lane
3rd place (tie) - Jacob Horton
3rd place (tie) - Kayla Bright

The winners were awarded Walmart gift cards. We are very proud of these students and we appreciate all who participated in the contest.
