Timpson ISD Bear Update: TMS Meets State Accountability Standard; THS Fundraiser

August 28, 2015 - Timpson ISD Bear Update

Timpson Middle School Meets State Accountability Standard
The Timpson Middle School met all four standards measured for the 2015 state accountability standards including the student achievement standard, student progress standard, closing performance gaps standard and the post-secondary standard.

In addition to meeting the state standard, the Texas Education Agency also recognized TMS for earning four distinction designations for Academic Achievement in Reading/English Language Arts, Academic Achievement in Science, Top 25 Percent Student Progress, and Post-Secondary Readiness.

In the state system safeguards category of the 2015 accountability summary, TMS met 14 out of 15 indicators including 10 indicators out of 11 in performance rates and 4 out of 4 in student participation rates.

TMS Principal Calvin Smith credits his staff and students for their effort and dedication to continue to meet standards on state testing even with the increasing rigor of the test and with the increasing standards students are required to meet.
