TMS News
“Timpson Middle School is off to a great start for the 2017-2018 school year”, says TMS Principal Calvin Smith.

  • Attendance this year has increased to 152 students.
  • For the first time middle school students are taking high school credit classes.  Four students are taking computer application.  Seven students are taking Algebra I.  Twenty three students are taking a freshman agriculture class.
  • Along with Timpson High School and Timpson Elementary School, the middle school will have a STEM open house October 12, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for parents and community to see STEM projects that students have created.  STEM is an acronym for Science Technology Engineering and Math.  Some of the projects students are on for the STEM open house are coding, bridge building, geo-domes and field irrigation.  Students are currently working and learning in the STEM areas of civil engineering, mechanical engineering and technology.
  • Principal Smith also encourages everyone to come out and support the middle school Bear football team and Lady Bear volleyball teams this fall.
