Timpson ISD Severe Weather Outlook

February 12, 2021 - Due to the strong possibility of severe weather next week, Timpson ISD is making preparations to utilize remote learning for days students and teachers are unable to meet for in-person learning. A decision will not be made until later in the weekend and for now Timpson ISD plans to have classes as normal.

However, please know that there is a possibility that TISD will move to remote learning on days we are unable to attend school on campus. The principals, teachers and staff are working hard to inform and collect information about how students will be contacted throughout the district if necessary if we have to move to remote options.

We realize there are differences in the ages of students and their capabilities regarding remote instruction. We also realize that this may be difficult or impossible for some students depending on age, and location circumstances. However, we are making plans to address these issues so students will be able to have teacher contact during these days and therefore, be counted present for school and receive vital instruction.

Please, check our TISD website, Shelby County Today, TISD facebook, KSLA channel 12, Center radio KDET, and other news outlets for current updates.
