August 20, 2024 - Timpson Masonic Lodge, will be holding a fundraiser on the square in Timpson Friday, August 23, 2024, for 6 year old River McAfee. Little River was diagnosed with Tcell Leukemia last year, and has been in and out of Tx Children’s every week, in Houston, for Chemo Treatment. He has been doing this since November 2023. He has approximately seven weeks left, then has to continue going back, once a month for three years, for maintenance. He and his mother travel to Houston every week for his treatment.
There is an account set up at Austin Bank in Timpson for donations, through the lodge.
Pulled pork sandwiches, chips, and a drink will be sold for $20 a sack.
Also Gulf Coast Blood bus will be set up with us, for a blood drive, to ensure River gets the platelet’s he needs as well.
This will all start around 10am.
100% of all proceeds go to River and his mother.
