January 1, 2023 - Timpson Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD) firefighters responded to a trash fire December 26, 2022, that got out of hand on CR 4249 off of FM 1645 which caught a car on fire causing it to explode and then catching a motorcycle on fire.
Upon arrival TVFD found approximately 12 acres burned with fire pushing across fields, and also threatening a structure, RV, and two portable buildings.
Firefighters made quick work to push the fire back and away from structures saving all of them, and then they began attacking the grass and brush fires.
With assistance from Tenaha VFD all flames were knocked down quickly and once the scene was clear all units returned to their stations.
