Tri-County Community Action Submits App. for Housing Preservation Grant

February 8, 2016 - Tri-County Community Action Agency, Inc., a private non-profit corporation, intends to submit an application to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Housing Service to conduct the Section 533 Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) for 2016.  

If funded, the grant will assist low and very low income homeowners in repairing and rehabilitating their homes in rural areas of Jasper, Newton, Tyler, Angelina, San Augustine, Shelby, Panola, Harrison, and Upshur counties in East Texas.  In addition, the HPG may assist rental property owners and cooperatives in repairing and rehabilitating their units if they agree to make such units available to low and very low income persons.
