Truitt Cemetery Homecoming

May 5, 2016 - The annual Truitt Cemetery Homecoming will be held Saturday, May 7, at 11:00 AM at the Truitt Cemetery off Highway 7E, between Center and Joaquin.

As part of the program members of the William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Gateway to Texas Chapter of the Sons of the Republic of Texas will have a memorial medallion ceremony honoring Joshua Hall Truitt, son of James and Sarah Hall Truitt and a citizen of the Republic of Texas.

A covered dish luncheon will follow the program, with plenty of time for visiting family and friends and renewing old acquaintances. Among the family names to be found out there are Fonville, Garrett, Latimer, Stephens, Truitt and Watkins and Wood.

Come share a meal, meet a cousin, swap family stories and learn more about your family history. Let the visiting begin.
