July 6, 2026 - Timpson Area Genealogy and Heritage Society welcomes Robert Vaughn as our speaker Wednesday, July 15, at 2pm, in the Timpson Public Library annex.
Mr. Vaughn will speak on what he calls his Rusk County History Project. His goal is to produce a book on the history of Baptist churches in Rusk County. County Line Missionary Baptist church, and the now defunct Oak Grove church in Garrison are a couple of these churches near us.
Mr. Vaughn, a Rusk County native, is a volunteer of the Rusk County Historical Commission. He pastors Old Prospect church near Mt. Enterprise.
