Center, Joaquin, and Timpson each advanced on to the Area Round of the Texas UIL Football Playoffs where Joaquin and Timpson advanced again but Center was eliminated.
The Roughriders posted an 8-4 overall record they faced the Aubrey Chaparrals at Tyler but fell just short in a 4-overtime thriller by a 43-41 score.
The Joaquin Rams are now 10-2 overall this season. They defeated Beckville 35-14 on Friday at Stephen F Austin. They will next face the Cooper Bulldogs (12-0) in a Region III Semifinal. Cooper beat Corrigan-Camden by a 40-14 score. The game will be at Tyler Rose Stadium on Friday, November 25 at 7 p.m.
The #1 Timpson Bears are 12-0 overall after beating Frankston 49-7. The Bears will face the Centerville Tigers at Jacksonville’s Tomato Bowl Stadium on Friday, November 25 at 7 p.m. Centerville beat Honey Grove 54-13 to advance to the Region III Semifinal.
