This Week in Shelby County Football: Week 8

The Center Roughriders had a bye for Friday October 7. The Roughriders are now 4-2 overall. They have a 1-1 record in District 8 4A-2 conference action. They will host the Van Vandals on Friday, October 14, 2022.Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

The Joaquin Rams are now 3-0 in District 11 2A-1 action this season. Joaquin won at home over the Grapeland Sandies by a 48-8 score. The Rams will travel to San Augustine’s Wolves Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff with the Wolves who are 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

The Shelbyville Dragons fell to the visiting Garrison Bulldogs by a 64-34 score last Friday. They are 3-3 this season and 0-2 in District 11 2A-1 competition. They will travel to Grapeland’s Sandies Stadium for a kickoff at 7 p.m. Friday. Grapeland is 1-6, 0-3. They fell at Joaquin by a 48-8 score.

The Tenaha Tigers are now 2-4 after falling to the 6-0 Price Carlisle Indians by a 48-0 score last Friday. They are 0-1 in District 11 2A-2 play. The Tigers will host the Alto Yellowjackets (3-2) on Saturday, October 15 at 6 p.m. This will be the Tigers 2022 Homecoming game.

The Timpson Bears are 6-0 overall and they enjoyed a bye week on Friday. The Bears are 2-0 now in District 11 2A-1 play. The Bears will host the West Sabine Tigers (3-4) on Friday October 14.  Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
