August 1, 2016 - The 9 year old WildWings of East Texas captured World Series Silver in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
The Wings started the event with a perfect 7 and 0 record, before falling short in the championship game. The Majors group from East Texas dominated teams from Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee to make the championship game. Strong bats led the team throughout the event as the 10 Wings combined to hit for a .447 batting average.
The WildWings will begin their Fall season as a 10u Majors team in September with a focus on the highest level of baseball Championship, the Demarini Wilson National Championship in Orlando, Fl.
The coaching staff, parents, and players want to thank the communities of East Texas for the great support we continue to receive as our boys strive for more in their baseball career.
