October 17, 2017 - Ms. Slaughter’s first grade students at Tenaha Elementary School are participating in a program called XtraMath. The goal of this program is to increase speed and accuracy in arithmetic.
Students must answer math facts with a 97% fluency level at a rate of 3 seconds per problem. In 7 weeks of school Bryson Richey has successfully mastered his addition facts 1-10! Achieving fluency is such a short time frame is a great accomplishment.
