This week saw four of Shelby County’s five football teams notch out a win. All teams are now in district competition and each win or loss from this point on will be crucial in qualifying teams for the UIL playoffs.
A steady Center Roughrider defense, and seven lost fumbles, by the Chapel Hill Bulldogs varsity football team, costed Chapel Hill High too much to overcome Friday night at Bulldog Stadium.
Week 7 for Shelby County varsity football teams will see all but one team play district contest. Tenaha will face a non-conference Christian parochial team after a forfeit by Mount Enterprise High School.

The 4-0 Tenaha Tigers showed out with a blowout 62-6 win, at home, over the Clarksville Tigers (0-4). This was following a 53-0 THS thrashing of Gateway Charter just one week earlier.
