Texas Speaker of the House, TAB CEO to speak at Lone Star Legislative Summit Breakfast

March 4, 2022 – The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce board of directors and Government Affairs committee prepare to welcome Texas Speaker of the House Dade Phelan, District 21, as the featured speaker at the Lone Star Legislative Summit (LSLS) breakfast meeting on April 8.

“We are very excited to welcome Speaker Phelan to Nacogdoches,” said Nacogdoches County Chamber CEO C. Wayne Mitchell. “We are anxious to hear about plans for the upcoming legislative session and the anticipated impacts on the Texas business community.”

31st Annual Texas Blueberry Festival Canceled for 2020

June 8, 2020 - The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce announced today that the Texas Blueberry Festival will be cancelled for 2020. “The members of the Chamber Executive Committee felt strongly that there are too may concerns to reschedule the event for later in 2020,” said Chamber Chair of the Board, Claire Robbins. “Just a few of these concerns include the uncertain health environment, logistical concerns and the ability to mobilize our volunteer force safely. The Chamber does not want to risk the health of our employees, visitors and volunteers.”

Nacogdoches Nine Flags Christmas Parade Cancelled

December 2, 2016 - NAUW officials have cancelled the 2016 Nine Flags Christmas Parade due to the likelihood of severe weather conditions. The Nation Weather Center out of Shreveport' National Weather Center forecast predicts that we should expect 6 to 8 inches of rain with severe down pours. NAUW officials made this decision after confirming with the Nacogdoches Police, Fire Department and City Officials who were equally concerned about tomorrow's expected conditions.
