Panola College Volleyball Sweeps Weekend

August 28, 2017 - The Panola College Fillies opened their season at the Rose City Classic with a bang, taking down all 3 opponents in straight sets. The Fillies defeated North Central Texas College (25-21, 25-11, 25-13) in their first match of the season. Sophomore right side Kaitlyn Adams and sophomore outside Jaqueline da Silva paced the offense with 6 kills apiece. Sophomore and freshman middle blockers Barbara Sabino and Daphinie Correa each chipped in 5. Sophomore setter Cayman Sutton racked up 13 assists and freshman setter Molly Harris added 9 in her debut.

Panola College Offers Zumba® Gold

August 14, 2017 - Panola College/Shelby College Center is offering Zumba ® Gold. This class takes the Zumba formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the older participant. 

The class will meet Monday and Wednesday: August 21September 27, from 4pm – 5pm, at the Shelby College Center. The cost of the class is $45, and pre-registration is required.

Panola College Men’s Basketball Announce 2017 Recruiting Class

July 31, 2017 - Carthage, TX – The Panola College men’s basketball team and Head Coach Grant McMillan are set to announce their 2017 recruiting class. After the most successful season in school history, the Ponies needed to replace eight sophomores and one redshirt freshman. This past season Panola posted a 26-9 record, won the North Division in Region 14, was regional runner-ups, and qualified for the national tournament for the first time since 1979.

Continuing Education Healthcare Programs to Begin Late August

July 20, 2017 - Panola College Workforce and Continuing Education is offering an array of healthcare training opportunities this fall.  Beginning in late August, we will have the Nurse Aide program on our Carthage, Marshall and Center campuses. On our Carthage campus, the Phlebotomy, Medication Aide, Dental Assisting and Pharmacy Technician programs will begin in September with EKG Technician beginning in October. The above healthcare programs take three to six months to complete and prepare the student to take a certification exam.
