SFA’s Combined Choirs, Orchestra to Present ‘War and Peace’ Concert

February 28, 2019 Nacogdoches – The combined choirs and orchestra at Stephen F. Austin State University will present “War and Peace” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9, in W.M. Turner Auditorium on the SFA campus.

Conducted by Dr. Michael Murphy, director of choral activities at SFA, the masterwork concert features Franz Joseph Haydn’s “Mass in Time of War” and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Dona Nobis Pacem.”

SFA Regents Hire Presidential Search Firm

January 29, 2019 Nacogdoches — The Stephen F. Austin State University Board of Regents voted unanimously to hire a Dallas-based executive search firm with a history in higher education to lead the search for a new president for SFA.

R. William Funk & Associates has placed presidents for universities including Rutgers, Purdue, Auburn, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Southern Methodist and Clemson.
