April 16, 2019 - Excelsior students in second, third, and fourth grades are participating in the Texas Reads One Book program. Excelsior superintendent, Mr. Johnny Lewis, joined the students for the kick off celebration on Monday, April 15.

March 1, 2019 - On Friday, March 1, Excelsior 2nd & 3rd grade students celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday with cookies and fun activities.

May 25, 2018 - The annual New Hope Cemetery Homecoming will be on Sunday, June 3rd at 12:00 noon. The Shelby County singers will be hosting the singing after lunch.
