August 15th Evening Event at the Carthage Civic Center
August 12, 2019 - Free and open to the public, join Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, National Wild Turkey Federation, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Natural Resource Conservation Service, Texas A&M Forest Service and the Panola County Soil and Water Conservation District (SCWD) in an evening event outlining programs to help landowners create and improve habitat for wildlife of all shapes and sizes.
March 18, 2019 - Panola County’s annual National Wild Turkey Federation Banquet will be held on Friday, March 29th at 6pm at the Carthage Civic Center. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $40 for single tickets and $60 for couples. Table sponsorship and pre-sale only raffle packs can be purchased before the banquet. March 19, 2018 - The 17th annual Panola County National Wild Turkey Federation Banquet will be held Friday, March 30th at the Carthage Civic Center. Doors will open at 5:30pm and dinner will be served at 7:30pm. There will be a live and silent auction, games, and plenty of raffle items to give away. Single tickets are $40 and couples are $60. AUSTIN — With the recent discovery of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in two captive deer breeding facilities in south-central Texas, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will be stepping up efforts to strategically sample hunter harvested deer at a greater level during the 2015-16 hunting season.
