June 22, 2020 - Due to an electrical problem at Plant 1, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required the N.E.W. Water Supply Corporation PWS # 2030034 to notify all customers on FM 711, CR 203, CR 205, CR 223, Harmony and Fountain Town Communities. Customers are to boil their water prior to consumption (eg., washing hands/ face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.
June 18, 2018 - The water on N.E.W. WSC no longer requires boiling. On June 12, 2018, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the N.E.W. Water Supply, #2030034, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boilded prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
February 27, 2018 - On February 21, 2018, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the San Augustine Rural Public Water System, #2030007, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
September 6, 2017 - The water on N.E.W. WSC no longer requires boiling.
On August 31, 2017, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the N.E.W. Water Supply, #2030034, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
May 27, 2017 - A public boil water notice effective Friday, May 26, 2017 until further notice has been issued for San Augustine Rural Water Supply customers on or near Hwy 21 West, FM 711, US Hwy 96 North, FM 1277, Butts Addition and Whipporwill Sub Division.
This is just a safety precaution due to a power outage that occurred within the city of San Augustine.
This does not include the remaining customers on San Augustine Rural Water Supply.
Customers will be notified thru radio and television when the notice is lifted.
April 6, 2017 - On April 3, 2017, we issued a Boil Water Notice due to a power outage that occurred at the plant. This included all customers on FM 353 and customers on Hwy 21 East. This was issued for safety precautions. The problem has been corrected and we've tested the water. The tests were clear, therefore, the Boil Water Notice has been lifted.
November 18, 2016 - The water on San Augustine Rural WSC no longer requires boiling as of November 18th. On November 16th, we issued a Boil Water Notice due to a major leak in the City of San Augustine's Water Main. This included all customers on San Augustine Rural Water, and was issued for safety precautions. The problem has been corrected and we've tested the water.
November 16, 2016 - Due to a major leak in the City of San Augstine's water main, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requires our water system, San Augustine Rural Water Supply - #2030007, to notify the customers of the need to boil their water prior to consumption effective Wednesday, November 16th until further notice.
This is for all San Augstine Rural Water Supply customers, including all former Bland Lake Customers.
This is just a safety precaution due to a line breakage that occurred in the City of San Augstine, Texas.
August 27, 2016 - (UPDATE) The water no longer requires boiling as of September 2nd.
A public boil water notice for the N.E.W. Water Supply System has been issued effective Saturday, August 27, 2016 until further notice.
This is only for N.E.W. Water Supply System customers on Plant One. This includes customers on or near FM 711, CR 205, CR 203, Harmony, Fountain Town and Spring Ridge Communities.
