Used Books Needed for Fall Book Sale

October 4, 2017 - Friends of the Library are asking for donations of gently used paperback and hardback books in good condition.

No encyclopedias, please. Books may be brought to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library during regular library hours. The books will be sold in the fall book sale to be held Tuesday, October 24 through Saturday, October 28.

SCOM Appreciation for Support of Postal Food Drive

May 30, 2017 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries gives a heartfelt thank you to the Center Post Office Employees and the entire community for supporting the recent Postal Food Drive.

The donation is a tremendous help to Shelby County Outreach Ministries, a 501C3 agency, dedicated to feeding the hungry and assisting the needy.

God bless you for helping to make a difference in the lives of people in Shelby County.

Opening Week of Library Book Fair (Updated)

April 24, 2017 - Time is running out! The Fannie Brown Booth Library book sale will soon be over! Friday, April 28, all books will be half price.

This means paperbacks will sell for 25 cents and hardback books for 50 cents. Saturday, books will sell for $1 a bag. Buying books helps our local library buy more books.

The library is located at 619 Tenaha St. Call 936-598-5522 for more information.

Fannie Brown Booth Library Book Sale

April 18, 2017 - Friends of the Library are asking for donations of gently used paperback and hardback books in good condition. No encyclopedias, please. Books may be brought to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library during regular library hours.

The books will be sold in the Spring Book Sale to be held Tuesday, April 25-Saturday, April 29. All proceeds will go to the library for the purchase of new books.

December 8, 2016 - Friends of the Library would like to thank all the many volunteers who helped make the fall book sale a big success. Your help was invaluable; we could not have done it without you!

Also a big thank you to Ms. Charlotte Szabo, for the beautiful quilt she made and generously donated for our quilt raffle.

All proceeds from the book sale go to buy new books for the library. Again, thank you, one and all!

September 12, 2016 - Friends of the Library are asking for donations of used paperback and hardback books in good condition. No encyclopedias or textbooks please. Books may be brought to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library during regular library hours. The books will be sold in the fall book sale to be held Tuesday, October 25th through Saturday, October 29th. All proceeds will go to the library for the purchase of new books. Any volunteers who can help with sorting of books may call Melba at 936-591-7036 or Amy at 936-657-8529.

June 13, 2016 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries would like to give a big thank you to the Center Post Office Employees and the entire community for supporting the recent Postal food drive. The participation was tremendous! Post Master, Steven Standley, stated an estimated 7200 pounds of food were given. The donation is a huge help to Shelby County Outreach Ministries, a 501 C3 agency, dedicated to feeding the hungry and assisting the needy.
