ETCF Scholarships Available for East Texas Students

January 26, 2023 - East Texas Communities Foundation is currently accepting applications from East Texas students for eighty-eight scholarships to be awarded for the 2023-2024 academic year. The deadline for submission of the online application is March 1, 2023. Harris Fund Accepting Applications from Center, Texas, Nonprofits

June 21, 2022 - The John Harris Community Fund held at East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF) in Tyler, Texas, will be accepting grant applications now through 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022

“John Reagan Harris was a generous benefactor, giving both his time and his resources to many groups and worthy causes in and around Center,” said Kyle Penney, President of East Texas Communities Foundation.

Harris Fund Awards Grants to Nonprofits in Center

August 30, 2019 - Grants from the John Harris Community Fund held at East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF) in Tyler, Texas were awarded to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial library, Grace Manor, Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center and the City of Center.

Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center received funds to purchase forensic interview equipment in order to better preserve evidence as part of an investigation for victims of suspected abuse. 

East Texas Communities Foundation Awards Over $240,000 in Scholarships

May 20, 2019 - East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF) awarded $241,050 in scholarships to high school and college students from East Texas for the 2019-20 school years. Recipients were honored at a reception at The Tyler Civic Theater on Monday, May 20th. Scholarship amounts range from $450-$5,000 per student originating from 68 different scholarship funds at ETCF.
