April 29, 2026 - Nonprofits in East Texas benefited from the generosity of 6,429 donors during East Texas Giving Day, the region’s recognized day of giving to support local nonprofits. The online fundraising effort began at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28th, and ended at midnight. Based on preliminary results, donors contributed $3.65 to support the causes they care about in 32 East Texas counties.
April 21, 2026 - East Texas Giving Day kicks off at 6am on Tuesday, April 28th with 333 participating nonprofits hoping to benefit from the generosity of donors from across the region. East Texas Giving Day, powered by East Texas Communities Foundation, is an 18-hour giving event that takes place virtually at www.EastTexasGivingDay.org .
July 2, 2025 - The John Harris Community Fund held at East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF) in Tyler, Texas, will be accepting grant applications now through 5pm Thursday, July 15, 2025.

April 29, 2024 - East Texas Giving Day, officially slated for Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 6am to midnight, takes place online at www.EastTexasGivingDay.org. This year’s event features seven nonprofits from Shelby, Nacogdoches and Panola County, Texas.
September 14, 2023 - Grants from the John Harris Community Fund held at East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF) in Tyler, Texas, were awarded to Shelby County Outreach Ministries, Inc., Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center, Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library, Shelby County Historical Commission and East Texas Food Bank.
January 26, 2023 - East Texas Communities Foundation is currently accepting applications from East Texas students for eighty-eight scholarships to be awarded for the 2023-2024 academic year. The deadline for submission of the online application is March 1, 2023.
