October 20, 2025 - This past weekend, five fine marching bands from Shelby County proudly represented our schools at the University Interscholastic League Region 21 Marching Band Contest in Longview, Texas. Each band brought their energy, discipline, and hard-earned preparation to the field.

The CHS Band is a proud tradition in our community, and we are incredibly grateful to watch our students grow and shine through their hard work and dedication.
However, behind every great student performance is a team of dedicated volunteers—and right now, we are in DESPERATE need of your help to keep this beautiful organization running strong.
May 6, 2025 - The Center Roughrider Band will be holding their annual Rider Band Concert and this concert will take place in the new Center HS Coliseum beginning at 6:30pm. You are invited to come and support these young musicians.

February 24, 2025 - As National FFA week comes to a close, we proudly recognize the remarkable achievements of two 2022 graduates of Center High School, Lance Holloway and Wesley Wages, who received the prestigious American FFA degree this past fall during the National FFA Convention.
This degree represents the highest level of accomplishment within the National FFA Organization and is awarded to individuals who have shown exceptional dedication to agriculture and leadership.
February 11, 2025 - Congratulations to our talented Center High School band students who recently showcased their skills at the UIL Region XXI Solo and Ensemble Contest.
Their hard work and dedication truly paid off, earning an impressive record of 121 medals!
This achievement not only highlights the individual talents of our musicians but also reflects the outstanding support and guidance from their instructors. The commitment to excellence is evident, and we are incredibly proud of each student who participated.
