March 10, 2016 - Holiday Nursing Center will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday, March 25th at 10:30 a.m. for children 12 and under. There will be a bounce house, hot dogs and the Easter Bunny will be on hand to greet the kids!

October 23, 2015 - Holiday Nursing Center residents, staff and guests enjoyed a Fall Festival and Chili Cook-off on Tuesday, October 20.

A hayride was a treat for young and old alike. The cook-off competition was stiff with many pots of delicious chili entered. Winners of the competition were Leigh Porterfield, first place; Pam Vance, second place; and Irada Oates, third place.

September 9, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce announces the 39th East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank, will kick-off Wednesday, September 23rd with several events, including the Chicken Fajita Lunch, the Doo-Dah Parade and the Chicken Cooking Contest. These events usher in the season prior to the Festival opening Thursday, October 1st.

August 10, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will host a relocation ribbon cutting for Luquette Chiropractic (formerly Shelby County Chiropractic) with owner, Dr. David Luquette, on Thursday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m. Luquette Chiropractic is now located at 203 Hurst Street in Center.
