City of Huxley Issues Boil Water Notice

November 13 - Due to a broken water main the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required The City of Huxley public water system (PWS) ID# 2100019 to notify all City of Huxley water customers that were without water on 11/13/2025 in the Roger’s Harbor Community (CR 2657, CR 2765, CR 2778, CR 2780, CR 2781, CR 2790,Hickory Ln, Toledo Forest) to boil their water, prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc).

City of Huxley PWS Rescinds Boil Water Notice

October 18, 2025 - The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Huxley public water system, PWS ID# 2100019, to issue a Boil Water Notice on October 16th, 2025 for any customers without water on FM139 & FM 2694 to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

City of Huxley Lifts Boil Water Requirement

December 21, 2023 - On December 14th, 2023, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City Of Huxley public water system, PWS 210019, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. 

City of Huxley Announces Temporary Disinfectant Conversion from Chloramine to Free Chlorine

September 28, 2022 - The City of Huxley Public Water System, (PWS) ID # 2100019 will temporarily convert the disinfectant used in the distribution system from chloramine to free chlorine. The conversion will begin October 1st, 2022 and continue through October 31st, 2022. 
During this period, you may experience taste and odor changes associated with this type of temporary disinfectant conversion.

City of Huxley Water Conservation Voluntary Request

August 12, 2022 - The City of Huxley is experiencing mild drought conditions and is asking our citizens to voluntarily reduce their water usage.

We are asking residents to assist the city with conserving water based on the City’s Drought Contingency Plan.

To assist, residents and businesses should:

• Voluntarily reduce watering of landscape, washing vehicles or boats
• Voluntarily reduce water usage in the home and/or business
• Repair known leaks (dripping faucets, running toilets)
