November 2, 2018 - The Joaquin Community Events committee would like to thank everyone who came out in support of our Second Annual Fall Fest. It was a huge success! There was an estimated 200+ children in attendance. We are so very thankful to have such a supportive community and look forward to seeing everyone on November 17 for our Christmas Fest in downtown Joaquin.
October 12, 2018 - Joaquin Special Events Fall Festival October 31, 2018 from 4pm-8pm. Featured activities will be food, candy, bounce house, and games.
September 3, 2018 - The first official meeting for the support group of families who have loved ones who are addicts will be held on Monday, September 3rd at 6pm. The meeting will be held at the Senior Citizens building in Joaquin.
Families of addicts often feel alone and clueless as what to do. The group will bring people together who will understand what each other are going through. A red balloon will be tied outside of the building. Please say a prayer that this group will help people to better cope with addiction.
July 17, 2018 - On Saturday, July 21 the First Methodist Church of Joaquin is having a car wash and bake sale fundraiser. Both events will take place from 9-2. The car wash will be at Brookshires in Joaquin and the bake sale will take place at Cornerstone Construction Company also located in Joaquin. All proceeds will be used for the church youth group. Come out and support local!
