April 6, 2026 - Notice is hereby given that the Public Logic and Accuracy Test and First Test of Automatic tabulating Equipment for the voting system equipment that will be used in the Cities and Schools Election will be conducted on: April 9, 2026 at 9am at 124 Austin Street in Center to ascertain that it will accurately count the votes cast for all offices and on all measures.

January 22, 2026 - Early voting for the March 2026 Primary begins Tuesday, February 17 at the Center Community House, 423 San Augustine Street, Center, Texas.
February 20, 2026 - According to Texas Election Code, Section 87.121, the early voting clerk shall maintain for each election a roster listing each person who votes an early voting ballot by personal appearance and a roster listing each person to whom an early voting ballot to be voted by mail is sent.
January 5, 2026 - I was recently made aware of a post on a Facebook group page with a graphic for elections in 2026, but some of the information is incorrect. We are busy getting everything ready for the March primary, and once we receive the ballots, I will have a sample ballot posted on this website.
The Notice of Election will also be posted no later than February 10, 2026. Offices that will be on the ballots are as follows:
October 28, 2025 - The 2026 Primary Election will be held on March 3rd, and candidate packets are available now and can be picked up in the County Clerk's Office, 124 Austin Street in Center. There are several offices open for election, as follows:
April 14, 2025 - Election day for cities and schools in Shelby County will be May 3, 2025. There are three cities and three schools that will be having an election: City of Joaquin, City of Tenaha, City of Timpson, Joaquin ISD, Shelbyville ISD and Timpson ISD.
