September 21, 2023 - The Center Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) is selling chicken leg quarter plates on the square Friday, September 22 starting at 10am until sold out.

For a $10 donation, plates will consist of leg quarters, baked beans, and potato salad, bread, and a drink.

See any Center fireman for tickets or more information.

September 21, 2019 - The Center Volunteer Fire Department will be selling leg quarter plates Friday, September 27, 2019 on the Center square.

Plates will be $8 and they will be starting at 10am.

This is the only fundraiser they have to help purchase needed equipment.

Please come out and support your volunteer fire department.

October 12, 2017 - The Center Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank everyone that purchased a BBQ plate or made a donation during our recent fundraiser. We also would like to thank the Shelby County Cookers, Tyson Foods and Brookshire Bros.

October 6, 2015 - The Center Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank all the people that purchased raffle tickets for our gun raffle. We would also like to thank the businesses that donated these guns. The money raised will be very useful in purchasing needed equipment for the department.

August 24, 2015 - The Center Volunteer Fire Department will be on the Square "Filling the Boot" for Muscular Distrophy (MDA) on Saturday, August 29th.
