SCOM Closes Programs Wed, Thurs Due to Weather

March 9, 2016 - Due to the weather, Shelby County Outreach Ministries is closing the Senior Nutrition sites in Center and San Augustine for Wednesday and Thursday, March 9 and 10th. This includes all senior service programs.

The Meals on Wheels program, Helping Hands Boutique and SCOM will be closed as well.

Helping Hands Angel Tree Program Accepting Applications

November 24, 2015 - Helping Hands Outreach Center is taking names for their annual Angel Tree Program.

Forms can be picked up at the Helping Hands location at 930 Shelbyville Street, Center, Texas. Forms will need to be returned no later than December 9th.

Parents/Guardians will need to show picture ID and supply proof that child/children are in household. No information will be taken over the phone.

Outreach Ministries Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner

November 18, 2015 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries is gearing up for our Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner. It will be served from 11:00 until 1:00 Thanksgiving Day, November 26 at the Senior Nutrition Site located at 124 Haley Drive, Center, TX. 75935.

Any donations of smoked turkeys or desserts need to be dropped off by 2:00 Tuesday, November 24, 2015. To go orders can be picked up between 11:00 and 12:00.

Ministries Fellowship of Shelby County Thanksgiving

November 9, 2015 - Ministries Fellowship of Shelby County, formerly known as Center Area Ministerial Alliance, would like to invite you to their annual Thanksgiving service on November 22, 2015 starting at 6pm. Speaker will be Rev. Robert Gipson.

Prayer Meeting on Center Square to Feature Rick Gage

October 21, 2015 - You're invited to an area-wide prayer meeting Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 6pm on the downtown Center square.

Guest speaker for the event will be Rick Gage, Founder of Go Tell Ministries.

Worship leader for the event will be Greg Gober.

Mark Your Calendar for 2015 Praise

September 25, 2015 - 2015 Praise will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 on the Center Courthouse Square! There will be gospel singing, games for all ages, silent auctions, 42 tournament, and so much more! The event starts at 10am and ends at 8pm.

There will be all kinds of entertainment from bouncy houses to 42 tournaments. A family friendly event full of vendors, games, food and most importantly worshiping God.

SCOM to Host Back to School Clothing and Shoe Drive

August 17, 2015 - This Wednesday and Thursday, August 19th and 20th, Shelby County Outreach will host a back to school clothing and shoe drive at Center Court House on the square. Donations will be taken from 9 until 2 daily.
