Grants Available To Landowners In East Texas To Restore Longleaf Pine Forests

September 29, 2021 — Texas A&M Forest Service and the Texas Longleaf Pine Implementation Team have funding available for private landowners interested in restoring and enhancing longleaf pine ecosystems on their property. Grants are made available on a biannual basis by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) and International Paper (NYSE: IP) through the Forestland Stewards Initiative. Funding was granted to help conserve and restore this iconic and important American landscape.

Gretchen Riley Receives Vice Chancellor’s Award in Excellence for Public Service in Forestry

January 15, 2021 - Texas A&M Forest Service’s Gretchen Riley received the 2020 Vice Chancellor’s Award in Excellence for Public Service in Forestry today.

The Vice Chancellor’s Award in Excellence is the highest employee award given by Texas A&M AgriLife, and Riley received this award for her diverse and extraordinary contributions to the Texas A&M Forest Service and to the state and people of Texas.
