February 25, 2017 - Come join the City of San Augustine Main Street as we have the Third Annual Texas Treasure Heritage Festival in downtown San Augustine! The festivities will begin on Saturday, April 22 at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be lots of cultural food vendors, live entertainment, educational art/demonstrations, huge classic antique and muscle car show, competitive pinto bean cook-off, historical children’s scavenger hunt, quaint antique street vendors, distinguished --Texas Treasure Business Awards, well-known speakers, SFASU expert with the oral history kiosk, walk through sneak preview of the beginnings of the San Augustine County 1919 Law Enforcement Jail, and much more!
Please come as a festivalgoer or “jump in and help” we could use your expertise and support!
The San Augustine Main Street position is paid by the City of San Augustine but we rely on donations both in-kind and monetary from individuals and businesses to conduct events, purchase downtown furniture, do all promotions, plant flowers, help with clean-up, and other jobs. All of these different jobs, events, and activities are funded by a 501C3 non-profit organization called SAMS PALS (San Augustine Main Street Patrons and Loyal Supporters.)
