April 30, 2015 - Hello, my name is Brad Hinton. I would like for you to know that I am a candidate for the Shelbyville ISD School Board.
I have lived in Shelbyville, Texas my entire life. My wife, Dena and I own and operate a broiler farm and cattle operation on the land I grew up on, west of the school on FM 417. My daughter, Harley and son, Clayton help us. Harley attends Shelbyville Middle School and our son Clayton attends Center Christian Academy.
I have tried to talk to as many as possible and will continue to do so. I have been asked by many voters what I was going to do on different situations that they were concerned about. I am not a politician and explained that I did not have all the facts on their questions and would not make any promises until I knew the facts. However, I would do my best to listen and within my duties as a board member make decisions that would be best for the children, school, and the community of Shelbyville Independent School District.
I will not make promises on issues that I am not informed on just to get the promise of a vote.
I will do my best to listen, and make intelligent decisions and look out for the best interest of the students, school, and taxpayers.
