November 10, 2020 - On Tuesday, November 17th, at 9pm central, the HISTORY Channel will premiere a new series with the treasure legend of Hendricks Lake! Here is the story of how it came to be. . . https://www.hendrickslake.com/blog/2020/11/2/the-history-channel-comes-to-hendricks-lake
As an author, it has been an incredible adventure to watch stories I have helped bring to life move more broadly into our culture. It has been like watching the ripples that emerge when a pebble is dropped into water.
When I first started this research around 2005, a Google search of Trammel’s Trace led primarily to erroneous information, myth, and legend. Now you get a heavy dose of my website at www.trammelstrace.com. The publication of my book on Trammel’s Trace in 2016, the dedication of a historical marker in Nacogdoches by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas in 2018, and the addition of the route to the Texas Historical Commission Atlas have been high points indicating that the knowledge is becoming more mainstream with regard to our history.
Now, the story that is the focus of my second book, True Believers, is part of a new series on The HISTORY Channel. Please tune in on Tuesday night at 9pm and order your books today at www.hendrickslake.com. Get both books and save $5.00!
