Margie Garrett, 79 of Center, died at a local hospital in Longview, Texas on Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was born on September 19, 1941, to the late Robert McCowan and the late Rosie Lee James.
Funeral service will be Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 10am at Westview Cemetery in Center, Texas. Brother Freddie D. Wilson will be officiating.
Margie was known as a “second mom” to many throughout the community. Her home-cooked meals, no-nonsense advice, gifts of charity and unconditional love for everyone she met will be forever cherished.

She was also loved and admired by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Viewing is Friday, September 10, 2021, from the hours of 1pm to 5:30pm.
Committal is at Westview Cemetery in Center, Texas.
